The Royal Treatment: Your Quinceañera Session Prep Guide 👗
Welcome to your Quinceañera portrait experience! This is your moment to shine, and my goal is to give you a flawless, high-end editorial gallery. To ensure we make the absolute most of our time together and capture every perfect detail, here is everything you need to know before you step in front of the camera.
-
Arrive 15 Minutes Early: "On time" is late when it comes to chasing the perfect natural light! Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before our official start time. This gives you a cushion to park, carefully unload the dress, and calmly walk to our exact meeting spot without feeling rushed.
Come Fully Dressed: Public restrooms and backseats are incredibly difficult places to put on a heavy Quinceañera gown and lace up corsets. Please arrive completely dressed in your gown and ready to shoot.
The Drop-Off Strategy: For larger locations with tight parking, I highly recommend having whoever is driving drop you and your "Hype Squad" off right at the main entrance or closest loading zone before they go park the car. This saves you from walking blocks in a heavy dress before we even take the first photo!
-
Professional hair and makeup almost always take longer than expected! Please schedule your beauty appointments to finish at least 1.5 to 2 hours before your session start time. This gives you plenty of buffer time to get dressed, travel to the location, and account for LA traffic without stressing. Late arrivals cut directly into your shooting time and the best sunlight!

Quinceañera gowns are stunning, but they are heavy!
Wrinkle Prep: Please make sure your dress is completely steamed and wrinkle-free before you arrive.
The Hoop Skirt/Petticoat: Practice walking in your hoop skirt at home! Knowing how to move gracefully will make our posing flow so much smoother.
Walking Shoes: Bring a pair of comfy sneakers or slides to wear while we walk between photo spots. We will be covering a lot of ground, and you can simply slip on your heels right before I take the shot.

You absolutely need an extra set of hands! I highly recommend bringing mom, a sister, or a best friend to act as your official dress wrangler. They will help fluff your train, hold your touch-up bag, and keep your energy up. However, please limit your squad to 1-2 people so we can stay focused and avoid any extra distractions.

You do not need to be a professional model to get magazine-quality photos. I will guide you through every single pose, hand placement, and expression. Just relax, trust the lighting, and enjoy feeling like a queen for the day!
