The Spring Edit: Your Studio Preparation Guide 🌸

Welcome to Maternal Whispers: The Spring Edit. I am so honored to capture this milestone for you. To ensure your session is completely stress-free and your final gallery looks like a high-end editorial magazine, please review this quick prep guide before your studio date.

  • The studio set features draped white sheer fabrics and delicate baby’s breath for a dreamy, cloud-like aesthetic.

    • If you booked The Essential Collection (Personal Wardrobe): We highly recommend soft, neutral tones to complement the set. Think creams, whites, blush pinks, soft beiges, or muted earth tones. Flowing fabrics and soft textures photograph beautifully. Please avoid neon colors, heavy patterns, and clothing with large logos or text.

    • If you booked The Heirloom Collection (Studio Wardrobe): You will have exclusive access to our luxury studio pieces, including our signature flowing blush gowns. Please wear seamless, nude-colored undergarments for the best fit under the sheer and light-colored fabrics.

  • We want this to be a fun, relaxed experience for your children!

    • Ensure they are well-rested and fed before arriving.

    • Feel free to bring their favorite small toy or a playlist of their favorite songs to help them smile.

    • Snacks: If you bring bribes/snacks, please make sure they are "clean" (like plain crackers or fruit snacks). Avoid chocolate, colored candies, or anything that will stain their outfits or mouths right before we shoot.

  • We want to capture authentic connection, and older children are a beautiful part of this story. To keep the editorial look seamless, please share these quick styling notes with them:

    • The Timeless Rule: Trends fade, but these portraits are forever. Please ensure their outfits align perfectly with the soft, neutral color palette (avoiding heavy logos, ripped denim, athleisure, or neon colors).

    • The Tech Ban: Please have them remove all smartwatches (Apple Watches), fitness trackers, and hair ties from their wrists before stepping on set. Digital screens instantly distract from the timeless feel of the portrait.

    • Hair & Makeup: If they are wearing makeup, encourage a soft, natural, and glowing look to match the airy, "Spring Edit" vibe of the studio. (Please avoid heavy, dark, or dramatic makeup).

  • Because these are exclusive event sessions, our studio schedule is booked back-to-back.

    • Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time so we can begin shooting immediately.

    • If you are wearing your own wardrobe, please arrive fully dressed with hair and makeup ready to go.

Location & Arrival (Private Studio) To provide an intimate, distraction-free environment for our families, our set is built inside my private residential studio located in Koreatown/Hollywood.

I cannot wait to create these timeless pieces of art with you and your family. See you in the studio!
